Holiday Mail for Heroes

Last year at the after Christmas sales at my husband's part time job, I bought 6 boxes of Christmas cards at 59 cents each.

Some of them I used just for the envelopes throughout the year, but with the others I knew I wanted to use next year(which is now this year) to send to our troops.

Today I looked into the organizations that are participating in this and the Red Cross is one of them. Their goal is to send 1 million Christmas cards to service men and women, veteran's and their families.

The only problem is I discovered today that the deadline to send out the cards is this Wednesday, December 10th.  Had I known that I would have posted about it sooner.

So that's what I'm doing tonight.  Filling out Christmas cards to send to the Red Cross.

If you feel it in your heart, maybe you could send one or two also.

Remember, they must be postmarked by this Wednesday, December 10th.

You can go to their website to get all of the details.
