Three Words

I know it's not Sunday yet, but here are my three words for the week.

This move has been hard.

We got rid of a TON of stuff.

We did not get rid of enough.

When we got into the new apartment I started to see just how much smaller the new place is than the old one.

The living room is smaller.

The (one) bedroom is smaller.

Even the bathroom and kitchens are slightly smaller. If you saw my kitchen before, you would wonder how this could even be possible.

Yet it is.

We still have far too much stuff to fit into 650 square feet of space.

Will probably end up having to get a storage unit. Which we really can't afford.

We may have to end up selling some of the baby stuff. We don't need a crib right now. Or a stroller. Or a pack-n-play crib.

We don't need them, and we certainly don't have the room for them.

Today as Joe and the guys we hired to help us move loaded the moving truck I sat on the floor of the empty baby's room and cried.

Then Joe and I got into a huge fight on the front lawn in front of our hired help and some of the neighbors too.

Nice.

Overall this has not been a great day. But at least the hard part is over. The actual moving is done.

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

***To top it all off, our cat of 15 years got totally freaked out by the moving truck and ran across the street(which she has NEVER done before) and now we can't find her. I am so worried. I will not sleep until we find her. I am so sad.*************

Update: Our cat came back. I am so relieved. Joe brought her in a few minutes ago. Now she is hiding under the bed. But we found her. Whew!

It will work out . It just that right now it all seems so horribly overwhelming.
Fresh starts and new beginnings.

I don't usually comment but wanted to offer a few words. Please hang in there. I know you are so very discouraged and getting rid of the baby things seems like the thing to do right now but you ARE going to need them soon and replacing them will just be more expensive. Will your sister let you store them in her garage for awhile? Or maybe parents/in-laws? Moving is very stressful. We haven't moved in many years and have accumulated SO MUCH STUFF...I just spent all last week cleaning out our shed and garage and had a garage sale (which I detest) but am so happy with purging some of the stuff we just didn't need. (I've been watching Clean House a lot lately!) Hang in there, Michelle. Things will get better. Please hang in there.
