Rosie Meets Grace

Today I finally got to meet my new owner, Grace. She is very nice and I like her a lot!
She has renamed me from "Bunny" to "Rosie". I guess Michelle was wrong because I really like that name!

I got to go to Gracie's softball game this morning and cheer her on. She is a really good softball player! Then we went to Cameron's baseball game for a little while.

See? Michelle spends time with Cameron too. He finally let me take a picture with him. Cameron got Legos instead of a Bunny. Michelle said he would like that better than a bunny. Whatever. His loss.

Michelle thought this was a great shot until she realized Cameron was holding the bat backwards.

Next it's off to lunch and then Michelle is talking about coming home taking a nap but I don't think Cameron and Grace are going to go for that. Catch you later!

Bunny Reaches her Destination

Well I'm finally here in San Fransisco. Sheesh, that took forever. After a long car ride in horrible traffic, and one mobbed airport and delayed airplane because of Spring Break, I am finally here. Here are some pictures of my trip:

I hitched a ride on the back of Papa's suitcase on the way into the airport
Inside Long Beach Airport

Waiting for our plane. We waited a long time. Michelle said the plane was delayed whatever that means. I guess it means you have to wait because that's what we did.

Finally we started boarding the plane. Michelle had the lady behind us take a picture of me with the plane behind me. She was nice but you could tell she thought Michelle was a little weird.

Now we are on the plane, safely in our seats.

Little did I know that when the plane started moving I was going to get squished under the seat in front of me until we took off. The nerve! It was quite uncomfortable down there!

Michelle tried to make it all better by giving me a Sprite and some chips. I have to admit I did feel a little better after that. Then we watched the dog whisperer on the t.v. together. I think we need to have the dog whisperer come to Michelle's house and help train Gizmo. She is quite unruly, in my opinion.

Finally when the flight was over and people were getting their bags I got to sit in my own seat. Ahhhhhhhhh......................comfort at last.

We didn't get home until way past my bedtime. Gracie was already asleep so I won't get to meet her until tomorrow. I hope she likes me. I'm feeling a little nervous now...............good night!

Friends of Bunny

This Benny and Rico -- they work at the airport.
Benny and Rico wonder: "where is Bunny now?"

O.K.-my husband totally hijacked my blog and posted this. Very funny Joe! Get your own blog. Heh. He's just jealous because he didn't get to come along.

More Bunny Adventures

We all decided it might be nice to go out for lunch today.
Here we are in the car on the way to the restaurant.

Here we are discussing where we should go.
We changed our minds about lunch and ended up at Claim Jumper's instead.
Here I am perusing the menu. Hmmmmm..........so many choices!

When we got back to the office Michelle told me I had better wait in the corner so I didn't get in the way.
Nobody puts Bunny in the corner.
I'll see you later! Next stop the airport!

The Adventure Continues

Michelle took me to work with her this morning. Here I am on the Toll road. Don't worry. Michelle wasn't driving when she took this picture.
Here I am doing a little work at Michelle's desk. O.K., I was really just pretending, since I can't read and don't know how to use the computer. The phone rang right after this and I wanted to make the appointment but Michelle said No. Sometimes she's no fun at all.

Here I am with my friend DeAnn. She's nice. She thought it would be pretty funny to do the
bunny sign when she took her picture with me. We were all cracking up at that.
Here is Michelle's co-worker Liz checking my teeth for me. I don't need to have braces yet, but they want me to have regular checkups to monitor my teeth. Especially the two front ones. They might be a problem later on.

I met this other bunny at the office where Michelle works. I was quite smitten with him. I like my men tall. That's it for now. It's almost lunch time for Michelle and she said she might take me out with her co-workers for Chinese food. I hope she does. Chinese is my favorite!

**********This is what we do at work on a Friday before we leave for vacation. Heh.*******

The Adventures of "Bunny"

This is for Gracie

Hello. My name is Bunny. Michelle told me this was just a temporary name though, because tomorrow she is going to deliver me to my new owner, Grace and Grace will probably want to rename me. She told me that I should be prepared for it to be a silly name, like "Hoppy" or "Pinky" or something. That's O.K. though. As long as she takes good care of me, I don't really care what my name is.

Michelle is going to take me on an airplane tomorrow to meet Grace. She's going to be my new owner. Michelle said she doesn't want me to get squished inside her suitcase so she is going to carry me on the airplane with her. That sounds good to me because I don't like to be squished. I have never been on an airplane before, so I am very excited. I am hoping that I get my own seat but Michelle says not to count on it.

I have been living here at Michelle's house for the last week ever since she found me on the shelf at the store and decided to give me a forever home with Gracie.

I like it here, but what I want more than anything is a little girl to love me. Michelle says that Gracie will be a wonderful owner and that I am very lucky to have her. I think she's pretty lucky to have me too.

This is me and Gizmo. Gizmo is Michelle's dog. I don't care for her all that much. She likes to chew on my face and drag me around every chance she gets. I don't much like having my face chewed on, or being dragged around, so Michelle put me high up on a shelf where Gizmo couldn't get to me. Michelle says that Gracie has a dog at her house too, but he isn't as annoying. That's a relief.

See what I mean about being annoying? Here she is chewing on my leg. Dog slobber. Blech.

Michelle made this bracelet for my new owner Gracie. She told me to keep it safe for Gracie until we get there. I am a little worried about it falling off in the airplane, so I asked Michelle to take it off of me and put it in her carry on bag until we get to San Francisco.

Here I am with Michelle's cat. She is much nicer than Gizmo. I don't think she likes me much though. I think I freak her out a little. Especially when I sit on her like this. She ran away right after Michelle took this picture of us. Michelle says that Gracie also has a cat at her house, so I better get used to them.

I think that's it for now. Michelle said she is going to take me to work with her tomorrow since she is going to the airport straight from there. Maybe she'll take some pictures of me while I am there and put them up here for Gracie to see. That would be fun!

Stay tuned for the further adventures of Bunny!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for sleep. After a very long 8 day period of time in which I barely slept at all, for the last 3 nights I got a full night's sleep. What a difference that makes!

I am thankful for my Dad. Not for any particular reason(well, actually for a lot of particular reasons, but they are between me and him). Did you know my Dad was a dentist? Well he was. My whole life. I have never had a bad experience at the dentist. Every time I hear people talking about how much they hate going to the dentist and how much pain they have experienced because of them I just think to myself "Hmmmmm...........I must be lucky. I have never had a bad experience at the dentist". That's because my Dad was always my dentist and he was awesome. Thanks Dad, for being awesome! He is coming with me on my trip this weekend to my sister's house and he is going to protect me from mean ladies on the plane.

I just want to clarify that my Dad has been retired for a few years and I have gone to the dentist since then. Also one of the reasons I have never had a bad experience is that I have only ever had two cavities filled and nothing else. Told you I was lucky!

I am thankful for fruit salad. That seems random, I know. But on Tuesday night I made fruit salad and it was so yummy. It has been far too long since I made fruit salad! I will be making it again very soon.

I am thankful to be heading back here tomorrow for a longer visit(5 days-yahoo!) with my sister. Much fun is planned. I can hardly wait.
I am thankful that while I am there I get to meet again with some awesome blogging friends. And hopefully one who I have never met. I hope we can make it work K!
Heh. This cracks me up.

What are you thankful for?

Fundraiser for the Kreuer Family

I recently learned of a family that is holding a fundraiser to bring their daughter Anna Grace home from China. They have another adopted daughter, MJ who they lost in a tragic accident after they brought her home. You can read her story here.

They are currently holding a fundraiser to help pay bring their second daughter home. Here is the link to their fundraising site, The Kreuer Chronicles Fundraiser.

They have some really cool prizes offered.

I really can't do a lot right now to help them with this cause but I can try to spread the word so that as many people as possible visit their site and hopefully help them reach their goal to bring Anna Grace home.

The giveaway ends on April 16th so you should go over there and enter to win!!!!

Even though I am going to win the camera. I sooooo want that camera. If I think positively, maybe it will happen! But you can still go over and enter(even though I'm going to win the camera) because the money is going to a very good cause.

Bento Giveaway

Lisa is having a really cool giveaway over at her Maisie eats Bento blog. You should check it out!

I have been wanting to get into this for some time now and I love seeing the creative Bentos she packs for her sweet little Maisie.

On another note, there is never a dull moment around here.

Last night I dragged Joe to the Urgent Care because I have had this sore on my ear for the last five days and it had become so painful I knew something was not right.

So at 9:00 at night(just before they closed), we headed over to the local Urgent Care where I was told I had a Staph infection! On the outside of my upper ear. Yuck. And also scary!

He thought I had possibly picked it up from the airplane(or airport), but I was chatting with my sister on Facebook last night and my nephew had a Staph infection last week too! So I'm sure now that I got it from him.

It is sooooooo painful.

Enough with the sicknesses and medical problems already. I'm done. Do you hear me Universe? Done!

They gave me a shot of antibiotics in the bottom last night. It didn't hurt when they gave it to me, but boy did it hurt when I got home. I had to lay with an ice pack on my rear before I went to bed last night. Nice.

Lastly, my friend DeAnn is having surgery early this morning, so if you could, think good thoughts that everything goes smoothly and without complications.

And yes, I am up at 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday. Sleep has been elusive for me this week.

Last Weekend in Pictures

First stop on Saturday morning for breakfast

Mmmmmmm.......................

On our way to the Pleasanton Fairgrounds

Ready for our first class

With our almost finished product. It's a hanging magnetic board. They turned out so cute! Look for pictures of these again around Christmas time :)

Not crowded at all, compared to the one they hold near my house!

Mmmmmmmm...............Kettle Corn. We bought 2 bags of this but strangely only left with one. Hmmmmmmm

Back at Lisa's house. These two are bosom buddies. They only pretend not to like each other when people are looking

Of course Grace had to have a picture with her in it :)

Gracie at Michael's trying on the animal hats. This is her monkey face. I think it's quite good.

View of Catalina from the plane on the way home.

It was too quick of a trip. Luckily I get to go back in a little over a week and stay for five days. Yippee!
