Checking in

I am supposed to be asleep right now, as I have to get up at 5:15 a.m. tomorrow to participate in the CHOC fundraiser at Disneyland.

I must thank each and every person who donated money for my walk. There will be a whole separate post on it tomorrow, but for now, you know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to you guys I was able to donate $350.00 to CHOC hospital. Rock on!

Today my Dad and I spent all day in Loma Linda visiting with my Aunt and cousins, and checking in on my uncle in the hospital. He looks much better than he did when I saw him on Monday. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but he is getting better each day. It gives me such relief to see that he is improving. And it is always a good time when I get to spend time with my cousins. Oh how I wished we all didn't live so far away from each other!

I have so many things that I am supposed to be posting about, and no time to do it! Yesterday and today was Shannon's Bloggy Photo Days, which I did do, but need to upload the photos.

I had asked to be included in a blogger interview from Wendy over at Adoption and Fire and have not had the time yet to answer the question she gave me either.

Not to mention I am way behind on keeping up with all of your blogs too.

There is no rest for the weary!

Speaking of weary, remember at the beginning of this post I said how I was supposed to be sleeping? Well the reason I am not is that I can't. I have been having the worst insomnia. It has been going on for at least two weeks and I am exhausted! I tend to go through phases of this and right now I am in the middle of a bad phase. It is awful. Insomnia is torture. I wish I knew what causes it and how in the heck to get rid of it. I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and I may have to ask him for a prescription for a sleeping aid. I have taken them in the past and they work wonders for me, but I stopped taking it a few months ago because I was afraid of becoming addicted(which can happen). I have tried every OTC remedy there is(including Melatonin), to no avail. I must have my sleep!

I need to get off of the computer now. I really need to (try) to get at least a few hours of shut eye before my alarm goes off at 5:00.

Have you tried Valerian? It stinks, but I find it works better than the meletonian. And no hang over!
