Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for our t.v. We haven't been able to go out at all lately but Joe and I both like to watch the same shows(he even watched the Bach.elor with me-now that's love) and every night after dinner we settle in to watch the shows we have recorded(no commercials-yes!). This t.v. strongly resembles ours. We do not have a flat screen. Sometimes I feel like we are the only ones on the planet that don't, although I am sure that is not the case.

--I am thankful for my job. I am lucky to have it and right now it is the only constant in our lives.

--I am thankful for my husband. Last week I told him I had a craving for cupcakes. On Tuesday while I was at work he went to the store and bought the ingredients and baked some and had them waiting for me when I got home. He didn't have enough eggs, so they were a little(ummm......a lot) crumbly, but they were delicious nonetheless. For me it is all about the frosting anyway.

--I am thankful that we live so close to this, and also for our beautiful weather. Yesterday I had an appt. in Da.na Point and we stopped off at the beach on the way home. It was gloomy and cloudy at my house, but perfectly sunny at the beach. Not exactly warm, but sunny and nice enough for us to take a long walk.

--I am thankful for my computer. I have met many wonderful people through it and because it is a laptop I can Face.book(That's a verb. As in "I am Facebooking right now) and watch t.v. at the same time :)

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful that in my attempts to help a family I met online with a fundraiser that someone I've only met online recently has jumped in to help in a BIG way (thats you sweetie!)

I'm thankful for my two little girls and their amazing Daddy

I'm thankful my husband still has a job even though many around him don't.

I'm thankful for TV...I know, I had to put something silly, but in MN you HAVE TO WATCH TV or you go insane, can anyone say -5F today! My favorite shows are 24, New Adventures of Old Christine(she and I are soul sisters!), lots of BBC America shows, and The Office.

I'm also thankful for all the REAL friends I have made on this journey.

Thankful for kids getting well.

What a sweet husband you have! Mine watched the Bachelor with me each week.- well, the first hour anyway, until 24 came on. :) Mine doesn't bake though. Lucky you! Lucky you, for living near the beach. That would be awesome.

I am thankful that we have a way out of selling our house. We think.

I didn't know you were a So Cal girl. I guess I should have with all of those trips to Disneyland. I will be there in May!

I'm not sure if we'll ever get a fancy one either.
OH and
I'm so jealous you live near the beach. Oh the simple joys of life!

I am thankful for my dear sweet friend who DROVE all the way down from Kansas City just to bring me her BRAND-NEW, fresh out of the box, Tablet, Touch Screen, Notebook computer. She insisted on loaning me her computer because mine is on the fritz. She insisted she could make do with her desktop computer until she moves to Alaska in four weeks. The generosity of that gesture and the love behind it meant more to me than the use of any computer ever could have!

(I'm typing on her computer now!...
Thank you, sweet Lisa!)
