Today marks the celebration of the
Chinese Moon Festival. Joe and I had planned to meet at a local park where they were having an event in honor of it, but I am still really sick. I didn't go to work today and I still have not regained my voice. It is so strange. I have never lost my voice before, so I have no idea when it will return. I guess we'll just celebrate at home. I found a local bakery that makes moon cakes, so if I am feeling up to it I'll run over there and get some. Aside from that I guess it'll be bedrest, hot tea and chicken noodle soup for me today.

Feel better! That's the best way to make a good moon festival for you :0)
I used to lose my voice every fall. Gargle with saltwater or Lysterine, that can really help. :-)
Feel better! And happy mooncaking. :-)
Oh Michelle, what a drag. Fell better soon. This year's crud is awful. Hoping you get over it soon.

I have a theory you may hate.
Once you lose your voice you are prone to losing your voice.
I had never in my life lost my voice. Then 4 or 5 years ago I got a cold and could not talk for days. I mean not a sound beyond the occasional whisper and that was a lot of effort.
Now every single year I lose my voice at least once. The first episode was the worst. Most times I can talk if I try really hard and it is only for a day or so.
