Job Interview

The job interview went well. I think it is a job I would really love doing. You k now that saying "Do what you Love?" Well, what if doing what you love doesn't pay as well as doing what you don't love? Do you still do it? What if someone else in your household is already doing what they love and we're barely getting by? I am so torn right now. This position could grow into something I might really like. And it does have a health insurance stipend. And it is only fifteen minutes from my house. Hmmmmm.....I'm just not sure. And they haven't actually offered me the job yet anyway. I have another interview tomorrow, so I guess I'll just have wait and see.

Michelle, I think you should do what you love. When I started teaching, I made a mere pittance. It was laughable, really. To have that much education and make as much as a manager at Sizzler probably made! Anyway, as time has gone by, I've made more, and I get to do what I love every day. When I started teaching, I had an active, chronic health condition that was really disruptive to my life. There were stressors that contributed to that. After establishing myself in my career, those stressors disappeared and my health improved dramatically. Today, I am symptom-free and I have been for years. I truly believe that when you do what you love, you reduce your stress, and that leads to overall greater happiness and well-being.

Follow your heart!

Take the job and see how you feel about it. Leave the door open to move on to something else so you aren't missing any other opportunities.

I honestly think that you deserve to do what you love as much as your DH deserves to do what he loves.

You mentioned a stipend for health insurance... is that truly going to be enough to get quality coverage? That should be a bigger concern than salary.

Do what you love...

It sounds as the smaller amount of pay will be offset by an insuance stipend... try it at the same time keeping yourself open to other possibilities... you might just allow your dreams to come true!

I would take it and see where it takes you. You can always get another job if it doesn't work out. Meanwhile, you could be enjoying your days more. And if you want, can even continue looking/ entertaining offers while you're employed there. Plus, you'll be bringing in some income to offset some of your financial troubles.

What do you have to lose?

And for some exta $$, you should host a "Scrapbook" workshop for fools like me who are scared of Tall Mouse.
