I'm going back to School

Yup, you read right. I just decided. Right this minute. My husband doesn't even know yet! I just made appointment for this evening with a local Tech school to take classes in Medical assisting and billing. It is only fifteen minutes from my house, and they have classes both online and in the evenings. I figure if I am going to be serious about this career change, I ought to get the required education. My degree in Early Childhood Education isn't going to help me much in this field. Most programs are between six months and eighteen months in length. That should give me plenty of time to finish and get a good job before Sophie comes home. I am really excited! Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it................small, insignifigant detail! :)

School is a wonderful idea! I'll bet you could even get some financial aid! Maybe even work part-time while you are going to school!

By the by, I am still here and reading! :-)

I have a blog but haven't updated it since February! I just haven't had the time! I really want to do it though as I so enjoy the many blogs I read. Here's hoping I can re-start it and keep it going soon! It will be my August-resolution.

Hi Michelle,
I did that. I went back to school to do Medical Billing/Med. Secretary. I loved it while I was in school, but found it very hard, impossible to find a job. I have my certificate and the school even told me life time help finding a job. Well, that never happened. I am still currently paying off that loan and don't even have a job. It did work out for me back when I did graduate in 98',I got a job with AT&T and worked there for 4 yrs before they made me chose between family or work. I chose family, so they fired me. That was the best thing that ever happened to me. Good luck with school, it is very interesting and I hope that you get a GREAT job from it. If you want to know more about the school I went to, email me privatly. I would be glad to let you know.
I also want to let you know that I check your blog everyday, but I don't always leave a commet.

Whoo hoo and way to go! School is a big decision but also a way to jump start "whatever". Bet it feels good making your mind up! Good bad or otherwise but a change might be just what you need! Love your camping pictures too! So weird to see so many beach shots. I always think everyone camps like us in MT. in the trees and mtns. :-) Wishing you great success in your next adventure! Glad your back and relaxed. Susan
